TEXAS STATE INCENTIVES

Austin Energy offers rebates for replacing traditional lighting with energy-efficient fixtures throughout rental units. Rebates range from $2 to $19 per lamp, depending on wattage reduction. Common upgrades include replacing existing T12 fluorescent lighting with T8 or T5 lighting systems, replacing incandescent, fluorescent, or neon lighting with LED, and installing lighting controls such as occupancy sensors. Pre-approval is required to qualify for the rebate.
