Texas Lighting Upgrade Incentives for Multifamily Properties

Austin Energy offers rebates for replacing traditional lighting with energy-efficient fixtures throughout rental units. Rebates range from $2 to $19 per lamp, depending on wattage reduction. Income-qualified properties may receive additional incentives. Financing options are available through the Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) program.

San Marcos Utility (SMTX) offers rebates for lighting upgrades in multifamily properties. Common upgrades include replacing existing T12 fluorescent lighting with T8 or T5 lighting systems, replacing incandescent, fluorescent, or neon lighting with LED, and installing lighting controls such as occupancy sensors. Pre-approval is required to qualify for the rebate.
