Austin Energy offers a Commercial Charging Station Rebate of up to $3,000 for Level 2 charging stations for businesses and multifamily properties and $5,000 for DC Fast Charger.

Texas Lighting Upgrade Incentives for Multifamily Properties

  • Austin Energy offers rebates for replacing traditional lighting with energy-efficient fixtures throughout rental units. Rebates range from $2 to $19 per lamp, depending on wattage reduction. Income-qualified properties may receive additional incentives. Financing options are available through the Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) program.

  • Oncor provides incentives to multifamily property owners in its service area for energy efficiency improvements, including lighting upgrades. Incentives may cover all or some of the project costs. Property owners must work with approved service providers to qualify.

  • AEP Texas offers rebates for installing energy-efficient LED lighting in multifamily properties. Rebates are available for both indoor and outdoor lighting upgrades. Property owners can contact AEP Texas for more information on available incentives.

  • Xcel Energy provides rebates for purchasing and installing qualifying energy-efficient lighting equipment. Rebates are available for both indoor and outdoor lighting upgrades. Property owners can visit the Xcel Energy website for more details on available incentives.

  • San Marcos Utility (SMTX) offers rebates for lighting upgrades in multifamily properties. Common upgrades include replacing existing T12 fluorescent lighting with T8 or T5 lighting systems, replacing incandescent, fluorescent, or neon lighting with LED, and installing lighting controls such as occupancy sensors. Pre-approval is required to qualify for the rebate.
