  • PECO administers the Public Benefit along with the Level 2 Commercial EV Charging Programs designed for both Level 2 and DCFC chargers available to the public. Applicants can be commercial, industrial, or governmental PECO customers. Incentives are capped at 50% of total eligible project costs (include equipment, installation, and make ready work). This is a first-come, first-served program and interested applicants are encouraged to submit a pre-approval application.

Pennsylvania Lighting Upgrade Incentives for Multifamily Properties

  • FirstEnergy offers a comprehensive Multifamily Energy Efficiency Program for buildings with five or more units. Property owners and tenants can benefit from no-cost energy audits that may include the installation of ENERGY STAR® certified light bulbs, smart thermostats, and power strips. Additionally, property owners may receive rebates for common area upgrades such as LED lighting, air sealing, and insulation. The program also provides customized recommendations from qualified energy auditors to enhance energy savings

  • Duquesne Light offers the Residential Energy Efficiency Program (REEP) and the Low-Income Energy Efficiency Program (LIEEP) for multifamily properties with five or more units. These programs provide no-cost energy audits and the installation of energy-saving measures, including LED lighting, smart power strips, and low-flow aerators. The LIEEP targets properties with at least 45% of units occupied by residents earning at or below 150% of the Federal Poverty Income Guidelines.

  • PPL Electric offers incentives for energy-efficient lighting upgrades in commercial properties, including multifamily buildings. Rebates are available for the installation of LED lighting, occupancy sensors, and daylight controls. Incentive amounts vary based on the type of equipment installed and the energy savings achieved. Pre-approval is recommended to ensure eligibility and maximize rebates.

  • PECO's Smart Multifamily Solutions Program provides energy efficiency upgrades at no cost to income-eligible multifamily properties. Eligible properties can receive in-unit direct installation measures and common area lighting upgrades, including LED lighting and smart thermostats. This program aims to reduce energy consumption and improve tenant comfort.

  • The C-PACE program in Pennsylvania offers long-term, low-interest financing for energy efficiency and renewable energy projects in commercial properties, including multifamily buildings. This program allows property owners to finance upgrades such as LED lighting, HVAC systems, and building envelope improvements through a voluntary assessment on their property tax bills.
