NEW HAMPSHIRE STATE INCENTIVES

NHSaves, a collaboration among New Hampshire's major utilities—Eversource, Liberty Utilities, New Hampshire Electric Cooperative (NHEC), and Unitil—offers incentives for energy-efficient lighting upgrades in commercial and multifamily properties. Eligible projects can receive rebates for installing high-efficiency LED fixtures and lighting controls. Pre-approval is required, and applications must include detailed specifications and proof of purchase. The program aims to reduce energy consumption and lower utility bills for property owners.

Through participating distributors, NHSaves provides instant rebates on qualifying high-efficiency LED lighting products for commercial customers, including multifamily property owners. This upstream program allows for immediate discounts at the point of sale, simplifying the process of upgrading to energy-efficient lighting solutions. Products must meet specific program requirements and be installed within 30 days of purchase

The New Hampshire Department of Energy's HER Program offers rebates for energy efficiency improvements in residential and multifamily buildings. Depending on the level of modeled energy savings achieved, property owners can receive rebates covering up to 100% of project costs, with a maximum of $15,000 per unit. Eligible upgrades include lighting enhancements, insulation, and HVAC improvements.

The HEAR Program provides financial incentives for the installation of energy-efficient appliances and systems in residential and multifamily properties. While specific rebate amounts are to be determined, the program will support upgrades such as heat pumps, electric stoves, and lighting improvements, aiming to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and energy costs.
